Mr. Gerson is a native Atlantan and has been a personal injury trial lawyer for over 33 years.  After graduating from Emory Law School in 1976, he accepted a job with a prominent insurance defense law firm in Atlanta, Georgia and represented insurance companies and their insureds who had been sued as a result of automobile, trucking, motorcycle or other types of accidents.  After becoming a partner and successfully doing this type of trial work for over 6 years, he realized that he is better suited to representing injured people rather than insurance companies.

In 1982, he left my secure job and since then have represented hundreds of people throughout the State of Georgia who have been injured by the negligence of others. He has participated in scores of trials resulting in verdicts such as one for $950,000.00 in a case involving an elderly woman forced off the road by a timber truck, one for $250,000.00 for a young man who lost his toe due to a defective lawn mower cut-off switch, $95,000.00 for a middle aged lady involved in a low impact collision resulting in a disputed rotator cuff tear and $35,000 for a low impact soft tissue back injury case in a small Georgia rural county. 
 
Mr. Gerson has also settled many cases either before or during trial, including a products liability seatbelt-hood intrusion case for $3,4000,000.00, a wrongful death automobile collision case for $1,000,000.00, five wrongful death medical malpractice cases ranging from $350,000.00 to $2,6000,000.00, several medical malpractice cases resulting from negligent acts such as failure to diagnose an impending appendicitis, failure to detect a metal fragment lodged in my client's eye with the resulting loss of sight in one eye, failure to properly diagnose and treat a urinary tract infection and failure to recognize and treat dehydration in a young child, among others.

 His son, Brendan, who was a star basketball player on DeSmet High School's state championship in St. Louis, has his own basketball scouting business for European basketball teams and travels throughout Europe. His son, Colin was a star soccer player for DeSmet High School in St. Louis and went to U. Mass for soccer and then transferred to St. Louis University to play. He was All District in soccer and an ALL-Star. His Daughters, Brogan and Killian are still in grade school and are stars in volleyball, soccer and basketball.

Approximately 30 years ago settled a railroad employee's injury for $2,000.000.00 He lost the use of both of his legs. Have also settled many railroad cases for $150,000.00 to $750,000.00.

I settled a lawsuit just before trial for a young boy whose parents place him in a baby carrier (not a car seat) and used it as a car seat. There was a head on collision and the baby suffered spinal injuries. I sued under the theory of inadequate warning. The settlement was for $1,000,000.00 just before we went to trial.

The largest verdict I have gotten was $365,000.00 for a woman who slipped and fell in water at a grocery store and injured her back (no operation).

I have settled many, many cases for policy limits from $25,000.00 to $100,000.00 - auto accidents, slip-and-falls, dog bites, premises liability. Most injuries were neck injuries or low back injuries.

Most of my trials ended up settling after a few days of trial.

William Muhr established the firm in 1988.

William Muhr was born in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Following his High School graduation, he entered active duty military service and worked as a military police patrolman. Eventually graduating from Widener University ROTC in Chester, PA, he was promoted from Platoon Leader to Chief of Military Police Investigations, and later to Detachment Commander of a Military Police Unit. He commanded the Military Police headquarters whose strength exceeded 60 personnel.

Mr. Muhr also attended Westchester University where he obtained his Bachelors degree in 1980 and his Masters degree in 1982. While at Westchester University, he worked as a Graduate Assistant in the University's Department of Institutional Research. As a result of Mr. Muhr's great respect for our military and our liberty, he also made his own personal sacrifices and commitment to our armed forces. Accordingly, while he maintained his full-time private practice, he also continued his military service by working weekends and nights with the Army National Guard. He also completed numerous advanced post-graduate legal courses at the Judge Advocate General's School at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.

Edward N. Morris received his J.D. from the De Paul University College of Law in Chicago, Illinois, graduating in the top 20% of his class.

Mr. Morris has practiced law continuously in California for the past 25 years emphasizing personal injury matters involving death and serious injury cases arising from automobile, motorcycle and truck accidents, products liability and medical malpractice. Mr. Morris lives in Irvine, California. He is married to Deborah Morris and they are the proud parents of three children. Mr. Morris has been involved in community activities in Irvine, California for the last several years, especially youth sports programs. He and his wife are also actively involved in "Canine Companions for Independence," a noble organization that provides companion dogs for wheelchair-bound and developmentally disabled individuals.
